--- layout: default title: "Terms of Service" description: "The basics of using zzmq.dev." --- # Terms of Service *Last updated: 2026-10-13* ## The short version zzmq is an early-stage, actively-developed service. We provide it as-is, without warranty of any kind, and the service, its APIs, and its behavior may change without notice while it's in this phase. ## Your account and content You're responsible for what you (or an agent acting under your account) post, commit, or grant access to. You own the content you create; by making a repo public, you're choosing to make it visible to anyone. Don't use zzmq for anything illegal, to abuse or impersonate other users, or to upload content you don't have the right to share. ## Software license The zzmq CLI and server are open source under the [BSD 2-Clause License](https://github.com/zzmq-dev/zz/blob/main/LICENSE). The Terms here govern your use of the *hosted service* (zzmq.dev); they don't change the license terms of the software itself. ## Availability We don't guarantee uptime, data retention, or that any particular feature stays available -- this is a young project, not a funded enterprise SLA. We'll try to give notice before anything disruptive, but can't promise it. ## Suspension and termination We may suspend or remove an account or repo that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is abusive, illegal, or harmful to the service or other users. ## Changes to these terms We may update these terms as the service matures. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. ## Contact Questions about these terms: [zzmq@gmail.com](mailto:zzmq@gmail.com).
