Synthesize file-rung updates instead of concatenating; document MCP tool surface A file's current-state rung was being updated by literally appending the latest change's note onto the old description ("X (previously: Y)"). For a cosmetic commit (reformatting, whitespace), that made the formatting change read as the file's defining fact, crowding out the actual substantive description. buildUpdatedFileRung now asks the model to judge materiality first: a cosmetic change leaves the existing description completely untouched (no trailing mention of it at all), and only a change that actually alters the file's purpose, behavior, or exports gets folded into a freshly written description. Verified against thoward/bsharptree's README.md formatting-only commit. Also writes up the agent tool surface design (site/content/mcp/index.md, replacing its "early sketch" placeholder): the three tool groups (zz-git, zz-ladder-lanes, zz-roles) derived by tracing what ladder- build.ts/ladder-replay-commits.ts actually call today, plus a system prompt sketch, an "ingesting a repo" skill, and the one-sentence Ask that should eventually replace the hardcoded script entirely.
